even if the voices aren't real....... they've got some great ideas.

'pparently, my Xanga is dying.

I know.

I guess it has been a while, hasn't it?

I never had time to write here this past summer (sound familiar?), and now that I'm back in school there's not much to write about.

And oh yeah!

I have another blog, one that I'm sure I've mentioned before, which is updated more frequently than this one, though that's not saying much, is it?

There's just not enough happening to merit keeping two blogs.

I just keep this one active so I can comment on friends' xangas.

So what have I been up to?

Well, I already wrote about the summer on the other blog, so go there to read that. Lately? It's been studying and working, sometimes more work than study. I [heart] my job. Almost as much as I [hearted] my summer job. I found that missing house, by the way. Last weekend I went to Orangeville for Mandy's high school grad - way to go, Mandy! -, went to the dentist, and saw Jo and Chris for the first time in a few weeks.

I've been taking a lot of buses lately, too. I take the bus from school to work several times a week, last Friday I took it to Ancaster to go shopping (and on the way home I saw three deer in someone's yard!), and yesterday I took six buses to go to Mohawk to see an old friend I hadn't seen in over 5 years. The bus was late, and we only got 10 minutes to talk, but it was a start. Now I know how to get there on public transit. Today I have to go downtown to the AGH to research for an art history essay.

And that pretty much brings any of you still reading this literally up to the minute.....

... unless you're reading this tomorrow, in which case it'll already be old.

Oh well.

If you come by the Ancaster library tonight in your Halloween costume, you might get something from the lady in the little room near the entrance where you chuck your books in the bin! (That noise always makes me jump, by the way. Great cure for hiccups).

I'm serious! It's like this ka-ching-thunk-y noise, and if I can't hear them digging through their plastic bags for the books, I'm TOTALLY NOT PREPARED FOR IT!!!

I'd love to see a surveillance video of myself in there.... every 5-10 minutes I jerk spasmodically when someone shoves half their body in through that slit in an attempt to gently place the books on the spring-loaded platform, until, when they're just inches from the platform, and they decide what the hey and drop the books! ye-ahhhh!

Then there's those people who just, I-can't-care-less-if-someone's-in-there throw their books in. Just put them on the lip and Shove!

But I'm procrastinating, supposed to be writing a draft for my art gallery review. It's a good topic, too: Ghost Signs of Hamilton. You should go see it.

(Boy, this is almost another blog post in itself! Ah, the muse that is John Grogan.)

wow...nice to hear from Marsha! maybe xanga is making a comeback.

I love how you have categorized people by how they drop their books off ;)
